"You're an accident waiting to happen..."
Well, exactly what I feared would happen did this afternoon. Jay & I were headed to Sioux Falls for a fun day of shopping, utilizing some of our Christmas gift cards. So we pulled into the parking lot of Michael's (I needed to get the stuff for matting my photograph for the contest--Thanks to everyone for helping me choose my photo!), and not realizing the lot was a sheet of ice, I slid right into a parked car. *sigh* Luckily no one was hurt, and the car I hit was unoccupied. And I guess that I'm also grateful that it happened on private property, but I was still annoyed with myself for it happening. The worst of the damage was on the other car--Dude's got a dent in his rear passenger's side door. I have a paint scuff on the corner of my bumper.
The rest of the day went well...I finally got the Corning Ware I've been wanting since Kendra moved out & took the set we'd been sharing with her. I also got myself a new bookshelf CD unit. I'm content just to listen to CDs on the computer...But Target had a sale on a 5-disc changer, and since I wasn't paying it for myself, I figured, what the hell? It works very nicely, I must say.
And since I've now called the insurance company, and talked to my dad, I'll call it a day, and head off to bed. I suspect tomorrow will be a long day!
