I never thought I'd see the day when gas prices would be this high...Yeah, I know they're paying a LOT more for it in Hawaii and California...But geez...I spent $25 this afternoon (not at this station--I filled up at the grocery store, as they offer a discount depending on how much you've spent on your grocery bill) and got a whopping 6 1/2 gallons of gas...And one of those gallons went into the gas can for the lawn mower! I spent twice that inside the grocery store and got enough food for a week. The 5 1/2 gallons that made it into the car will probably at least get us through next Thursday, which is when I get paid again...I'm hoping they make it until Saturday, which is when I plan on going shopping again, and getting another discount receipt. And that's assuming that we only really drive to daycare, and to work (Jay drops me off, so he can pick up the bambino earlier than 5 o'clock), and I walk home each evening. I suppose I should start saving up for my trip to Ohio come October now...By then gas is probably going to cost $5/gallon (I don't believe this BS of "Oh, prices will level off sometime soon")!
