I love and hate long car rides...
So we're back from MN...It was a nice weekend and early Christmas celebration, that made me miss my folks and family a LOT. I'm utterly exhausted now...you'd think that with the traveling I did between SoDak & OH for that week I moved out here, I'd be used to all the long-distace travel. I guess, though, it's been awhile since I've spent more than an hour in the car at any one time! So I'm already comtemplating going to bed at 6.30!
It was kind of nice getting away for the weekend, though...Even if I was kind of laughing at the little subdivision carved out of corn fields...I took a few pictures of the random things I found out there. I just need to get the rest of the pictures taken, which I will probably do come Saturday (which, for those who don't know, is my 29th b-day...There is still plenty of time to get your gifts wrapped and shipped out to me!), or even Sunday. And if Jay & I go out Monday (he's working Saturday, as am I), I can take photos then, and get the film developed. I'm still not sure how I'm feeling about my b-day...A little down, as this is my last year as a 20-something...And because I won't have much in the way of family and friends around, outside of Jay & his folks. I guess it could be worse. It could be like the year my mom actually forgot about my b-day! That was a crappy year.
