"So this is Christmas...and what have you done..."
It was sunny out once again today...Believe me, I'm not complaining in the slightest. Even if I did want to complain, it wouldn't matter, as I haven't left the house all day long. I even slept in...I didn't roll out of bed until almost 9 this morning--Which is highly unusual for me, unless I'm sick, or have had a string of bad bouts of insomnia. I suspect that I knew I didn't have to do anything at all, so I relaxed enough to just snooze until Jay came in with a cup of coffee for me.
And after I awoke, I spent a little while talking to everyone at Kendra's, gave Shelley a call, and then proceeded to skim through my copy of U2 by U2, which I was about 99% sure my mom had sent me. I dunno why, but it made me want to dig out the camera Mike gave me a few months back and do some traveling.
We spent yesterday afternoon with Mary & Tom...I got a fun basket with some bread mixes and mini loaf pans in it. I also got a fun new pen, and a really pretty bracelet.
Jay gave me a bunch of cash, because he informed me that he's been saving up secretly so I can get that Kate Spade bag. I'm also getting myself a new pair of shoes (which I'm ordering along with the bag tomorrow morning or on my lunch break), more ink for my printer, and perhaps a refill for my planner. That way, I can keep the desk calendar I get every year from work actually at work. And since I'll probably still have money left over, some new CDs or books or something will probably be in my future. I had a couple of CDs that I wanted to check out on Amazon, but for the life of me, I don't remember what I was going to look at! No matter. I'm sure I can find something.
